The buses, drivers and guys on the street were great! However, the green buses were not as regular as the red although provided different routes and the worst bit was that having bought the ticket through viator the paperwork says to go the the guys on the street to get our tickets, they couldn't, you have to go to the office, which is very difficult to find luckily their guys took us and the office staff were appalling!
Happy to chat to the postman and other people in the office but was off hand in the extreme to the guy who showed us the way and was extremely rude to us, would not make eye contact and literally threw a pen with receipt at us to sign for the tickets! Now being slightly annoyed to say the least I then insisted on getting her to confirm we needed to sign the receipt after which she turned back and accused us of being rude!!!!
This was really good and well worth the money paid for. The tour bus driver's name is Byron. He is knowledgeable and takes the time to stop the bus, come upstairs and share important information about the city. The Statue of Liberty boat tour was also great. We took the 3:00 P.M. They had organized it rather well. The only drawback to the tour is that the bus that took us to the boat tour was totally open-top. Taking into account the time of the year and time of the day, one could expect the tour organizers to have provided for covered double-decker.
Waste of time and money- disorganised tour operator and unhelpful tour guides!
