Bought the combination ticket, initially for 1 pm but because of the high winds staff informed us the elevators weren’t going at that time. They told us tickets were refundable or valid all day. We decided to visit the 911 Memorial Museum first then and return after that (around 17:30 that was)
Queues at that particular time were none and we got whizzed up in no time, even having an elevator to ourselves, in the company of tour ambassador Chris. The elevator experience itself is quite nice with fotographic images being projected on all elevator walls.
As you step out, there is a brief film being projected and then the curtain slides up ... giving you a first glance at the city below.
Our timing gave us the advantage of seeing NYC in daylight, dusk and dark.
An absolute must-do for anyone !
