Enjoy an exciting underwater adventure on Oahu! On this submarine scooter tour, cruise along Maunalua Bay past Diamond Head Crater and then dive under the surface while riding your own self-propelled, electric underwater scooter. Swim with colorful fish, green sea turtles and other marine life in a totally unique and fun way! Your guide will lead the way, and no experience is necessary.

This small-group tour is limited to 30 people, ensuring a more personalized experience.

Maximum weight is 350 lbs. Maximum height is 6'8". Waiver is required prior to adventure and participant must have no previous medical conditions; minors must have waiver signed by parent or legal guardian.
CHECK-IN TIME IS 30 MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE. MUST BRING PHOTO ID FOR CHECK-IN. The boat leaves PROMPTLY at departure time.

The crew was great. Helped us in the water and out. Very patient with anyone who was hesitant. One of our teens got immediately claustrophobic when she popped her head into the bell so she opted out. I tend toward claustrophobia too but I was ok. One thing I wish I had known was to wear earplugs. The combination of the compressed air and the giant glass ball your head is in, the water splashing at your shoulders in the dive bell is CRAZY loud. Also it's really hard to take photos with the structure of the scooter in the way. Taking them from inside the dive bell is super awkward too. Pay for the divers photos instead, they do a good job. You go down in six person groups because each person has a diver assigned to them to keep you upright and at the right depth. You don't control how deep you go. You can steel and propell using the controls like a motorcycle, but it's not high powered and it honestly felt more like the diver was steering me most of the time. You are down for about 20 minutes. When you aren't in on the scooter they have snorkel gear so you can swim off the side of the boat opposite where the scooters are. Our girls spent their time jumping off the boat into the water. They have chips for snacks and water in a big jug with paper cups. They also have wet suit vests to borrow to help keep you warmer. We saw a few turtles on the reef and a fair number of fish. They provide tightly packed hot dog buns that they put into a feeder bag of each scooter, right by your face so the fish swim up close. I wouldn't do it again, but it was fun as a one time tour.

SO MUCH FUN!!! Amazing staff that were friendly and helpful. Saw sea turtles, Dori, octopi and tons of other fish that just swam right up to you like pets! Definitely worth the effort and money.

Amazing experience with the guys from Island Water Sports. Beautiful clear waters and amazing customer service. The scooters are a fun way to explore the craters and we saw several varieties of fish. So cool to swim with the turtles. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a diver for every scooter which made us feel very comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this adventure.
