La visite de la plantation d'Oak Alley est l'une des plus magnifiques visites de plantation près de la Nouvelle-Orléans en raison des 28 immenses chênes régulièrement espacés qui vont de la route fluviale à la Plantation House. La maison néo-grecque date de 1837. Sur le terrain se trouvent un restaurant, une forge, une boutique de souvenirs et du matériel agricole ancien. Notre visite des marais en hydroglisseur de la Nouvelle-Orléans est une aventure à grande vitesse qui est à la fois une visite et une balade. En cours de route, vous bénéficierez d'une visite personnelle de votre capitaine local. Nos hydroglisseurs sont équipés de sièges de stade, afin que la personne devant vous ne gêne pas votre vue. From the minute we were picked up at our hotel to the time we were dropped off everything was terrific! Our driver out to the plantation, Brian, was an absolute comedian and a knowledgeable guide. The plantation itself was beautiful and the guide there was also well versed in the history of the house. Then came the swamp airboat ride, WOW. Captain Ernie was the best! He knows that swamp and that delta and knows his alligators. Plus the airboat ride is more thrilling than some things at Disney. This combo is a must do!

We took the Oak Alley tour and was picked up at our hotel by our driver Brian. He is one happy fellow and made everyone feel welcome. He also thanked us visiting the city of New Orleans as the recovery of the town has been difficult. The trip to the plantation is about an hour or so but Brian told stories and kept everyone interested and laughing. The plantation is beautiful and the grounds, especially the 300 year oak trees are something to see. It was interesting to see how folks lived, worked and struggled in a different period of our history. Along the way, Brian pointed out other plantation homes and told which ones had been used in movies. Coming back into New Orleans he asked where each person wanted to be dropped off, hotel or somewhere else. That was nice as we had an errand to run on Canal Street and wanted to grab a Starbucks also. If you enjoy history, trees, and plantation estates, this would be a good choice for you.

Beautiful Plantation and our driver Brian was both knowledgeable and hilarious. Swamp boat tour was lots of fun and our guide knew where to find the alligators, even had trained one. He also knew a lot about the swamp vegetation etc...
