You will visit Carmel’s historic Pine Inn where you might decide to visit the bar for a cocktail or a snack. There will be the opportunity to see First Murphy House, a museum of early Carmel history. Operating hours are Tuesday – Thursday 12pm to 3pm.

Then the tour takes you to the north end of Carmel Beach where you will see the gorgeous Pebble Beach Golf Links. The tour passes by the early homes of Robinson and Una Jeffers where you will hear the story of this famous Carmel couple.

The tour is ready whenever you are. It plays automatically at exactly the right time and place using your smart phone’s GPS and the VoiceMap mobile app, which works offline.

First, downloading the app was a bit of a hassle. The app itself or operator had difficulty getting it started. It was challenging.

Eight of us who had been to Paris a number of times were led on this tour by the extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic April. We saw places and learned interesting things about parts of Paris we had never seen before.

I couldn’t get it to work. I spent about an hour downloading stuff and trying to find the starting point etc. When we finally found the starting point the narrative did not fit our surroundings. We tried for another 30 minutes and finally gave up. Granted I may be challenged with technical stuff so others might find this to be easier.

Hi We're sorry to hear you couldn't get the tour to work. Its usually a highly-rated tour. Once the tour is downloaded, you should see directions to the starting point. If you start the tour in the right place then the descriptions would match the surroundings. It sounds like you might have started in the wrong spot. Could you please message us directly at [email protected] with more information about what happened? Thanks, Alicia
