Such an exhilarating experience! We felt completely safe the whole time and made it to the top of our 230 ft 'Mother Tree'. It takes a minute to get the hang of the climbing equipment, but our guide gave us lessons and practice runs before the actual climb. At the top, we hung out, chatted and watched the eagles and hawks from the treetops before repelling back down. 100% would do this again.

On my 33rd birthday to the 33rd state, my son and I finished off our week long road trip with a challenge. I highly recommend this tree climbing experience. Leo is a gem! And helped me reach my goal of getting to the branches. Once up there, it was a tranquil experience. Ascension was difficult for my poor physical ability, but I'm grateful for the bruises and sore muscles. I definitely am moving slowly today after that climb. I can't recommend how totally worth the pain and effort this experience was. I didn't think I would make it up the tree, but Leo was amazing to help me. For people not categorized as morbidly obese (as I am), I would say there's nothing to fear but acrophobia. I added the photography to the package and got everything on a sweet little flash drive. I couldn't thank Leo enough for how awesome of an experience he provided.

What a unique experience! I don't know of anywhere else that helps/lets you climb old growth trees. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to safely meet the challenge of climbing to the top of an old growth Doug Fir tree in the gorgeous Silver Falls State Park. Our group of three "middle-aged" adults and two teens all had a great time taking on the challenge to hoist ourselves up over 200 feet above the ground, above the canopy. Adults and teens felt accomplishment all around! Important to note: the suggestions to wear clothes that may be damaged, as well as pants (not shorts) and sturdy shoes are important. I had forgotten how much sap is involved in tree climbing... it had been at least 40 years since I climbed a tree. All the clothes have sap; all the uncovered skin has sap. Also important: lots of small bruises and little scrapes, at least for the middle aged adults--nothing that should deter anyone, but all the middle-aged novice tree climbers in our group ended up with various minor bumps and bruises. I bet that improves with practice--the kids didn't have this issue. The guides provided plenty of support and information about the climb, equipment, forest, and provided support as the going got tough for adults and kids learning a new skill and facing a new challenge (height is scary and surmountable).

This is an awesome review and much appreciated! I love the feeling of accomplishing something difficult and possibly a little scary, haha. Sap can indeed be more plentiful certain times of the year and depending on the tree. I smells amazing, though! Take care!
