Do yourself a favor and book this tour! We had a late morning (10:30 AM) old port tour with Jazmin and it was wonderful! She was funny and so knowledgable and 3 hours on the tour just flew by! We've learned a lot about Portland and Maine (Jazmin is a proud Mainer) and had so much delicious food! Definitely a must do in Portland!

Jazmin will love hearing, as much as we do, that you had a great time on tour with her! We're very lucky she does a little moonlighting as a guide with us when she's not whipping up chocolate confections. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate your review!

Last Sunday 6/16, we took the Portland Maine Foodie tour, there we 20 of us. It was the Bon Appetite Tour which lasted about 3 hrs. We started with a great croissant, then down to Bob's Clam Hut for chowder and clams 2 ways, outstanding, then off to Maine Mead Bar, then off to Maine Brewery where we had fries fried in duck fat with 6 dipping sauces and a few samples of beer, then down to another place where they served a liquor that I cannot remember and a 1/2 of an Italian grinder. It was a great time, the distance was not too far and the rain held off until the last 2 places. If your in Portland and you want to do something different, try the Maine Foodie tour, I don't think you'll be sorry you did!

Thanks to the Noritake Collector's Society group for joining us! Chuck and Chase had a great time with your party! The East End has SO many amazing food and beverage entrepreneurs cropping up right and left and we really enjoy featuring the flavors and folks here. Root Wild is the final spot you're thinking of that's a Kombuchery =) We appreciate your review!

On most food tours, you walk at a leisurely pace, stop to hear history and sit to sample food. On this tour, the guide walked at a fast pace, provided some history, while we stood for the first hour. For the people who are not in the best of shape or a little older, it would be appreciated if the stops were arranged so that the places with no seating were not visited sequentially. And make sure to slow down. Otherwise, things went well.

Thanks for joining us on tour! Our stops are a mix of standing and some seated depending on the artisan food or beverage producer we're visiting. We alternate where we can to give folks a respite, but as a culinary walking tour it does require a certain mobility comfort level. We're working on a tour that can accommodate guests with lower mobility - just a little complicated as Portland's dedication to historic preservation means lots of narrow doorways, stairs, bricks and cobblestones. If you could email us directly as to what tour you took and who was your guide, as we don't have a reference from your review to cross reference, we can remind them to moderate their pace a bit. We have a few naturally speedy Gonzales guides, some Turtle and the Hare and everywhere in between - pace is great tip reminder! We appreciate hearing your thoughts on your tour experience and hope you enjoy the rest of your visit =)
