We loved our trip to Mount Vernon with Edgar. The meet up location was easy and being in a nice, clean, cool bus was the best! Edgar gave a wonderful and informative tour of Alexandria and Mount Vernon...highly recommend!

The drive via old Alexandria was just delightful, so many beautiful houses and attractions, and the landscape further on to Mt Vernon is just breath-taking beautiful. Our guide Dion was very knowledgeable and pleasant, taking good care of all the group members, and explaining everything we saw plus adding so much interesting facts. The place itself is very impressive, and the personal story of G Washington is very inspiring. Don't think twice, just go!

With so many free museums and incredible monuments in the city limits, I asked myself if it was necessary to venture outside of the city and see Mt. Vernon. I’m so glad that I did. First of all, USA tours made it easy to meet up and commute to the sight, and provided historical and relevant information about sights that we passed as we journeyed to Mt. Vernon. It made the ride feel quick and educational! Our tour guide, Edgar, was wonderful!! He made the trip what it was. He had a wealth of information about the sights and could field all questions that came his way. I appreciated his patriotism and perspective towards the history he taught. At Mt. Vernon we were let loose to explore the museum (highly recommend spending a good bit of time in here AND seeing the 4D movie on Washington’s life). The whole museum captures early American history in a beautiful way through Washington’s humble leadership. We walked through the house at our own pace, but Edgar waited in line with us the whole time sharing great historical stories, which maximized our time. On our way home from the Washington’s property, we stopped in Alexandria. We visited Christ Church, which was a refreshingly quaint church as compared to many cathedrals we, tourists, usually bother touring. It is where the Washingtons attended church and other noteworthy leaders have visited throughout history. Edgar shared fun facts and stories during the remainder of our visit through Alexandria and explained its historical relationship with DC. Highly recommend this experience.
