Visite du parc national olympique au départ de Seattle

Aperçu
Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. The exact itinerary will be curated by the tour guide however our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake and the seasonally Sol Duc Valley, and a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Please plan on walking six miles.

We had an amazing experience on this 12hr tour that took us to three different stops each with its own unique ecosystem. Olympic National Park is truly a place like no other. Our guide John was great informative, punctual, and polite. The tour involved about 4 miles of moderate walking broken up over the three stops. The ferry ride back to Seattle offered an awesome view of the city at night. We highly recommend this tour it was everything we were looking for.

Wow, what a day! I wasn’t sure what to expect with it being pretty cold and wet, but this tour was a blast. It had everything, beautiful lakes, waterfalls, beautiful lush forest, ocean beaches, hiking (be prepared to do a fair bit, at least 5 or 6 miles). Cresent Lake is breathtaking and Tongue point was a beautiful surprise at low tide with all the tide pools. Joel did an excellent job of showing us all the diverse landscape and some super cool hidden gems. There were even a few things we missed due to road closures so I will definitely be going back on another tour when the weather warms up. This place is truly spectacular and I couldn’t have asked for a more friendlier and knowledgeable guide.

This was a new tour for this company. They got so many great reviews on their other tours, I decided to give it a shot. I was worried that I might have wasted my money, especially since the road to hurricane ridge was closed, and it was kind of a wet day. I’m so glad I went, and was pleasantly surprised. Joel had obviously done his homework on the history, folklore, legends, and geology of the park, in addition to just knowing the best places to go, when the most popular stops were closed due to severe weather. Getting picked up from my hotel was nice, the 40 minute ferry ride was fun, and the actual tour was beautiful. There are so many impressive waterfalls, the forests are almost fluorescent with moss, and the diversity of mountains, crystal clear lakes, and tide pools, seem almost impossible to cram all into one day, but this tour has it all. This wasn’t a tour for folks who can’t walk well. We must have walked 5 miles throughout the day, but I loved it, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get out and see nature.
