This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.
Check in begins 30 minutes prior to departure.

I was very impressed with my first contact Katie. I messed up my reservation and she called me right away...the night I made the reservation...she noticed it right away. It was so easy for her to correct my error and I am so appreciative. I can't thank her enough. This was to be my second trip with OIWW. The first was during the pandemic and we saw a great show with the whales. This time my sister was coming from Nebraska and had never seen whales in the wild--she was so excited--says a lot for my sister the religious sister. I was diagnosed with Covid the day she arrived in Seattle so I got sidelined. My daughter was able to pick up my slack and take her. She told me the next day how much she enjoyed her time viewing the whales and their antics. I will take my other visitors to Orcas Island Whale Watching when they get to Seattle. Thank you again Katie!

My family and I enjoyed the whale watching, it was our first time so we really liked the view. We highly recommend Outer Island Expeditions. Thank you to the captain and the naturalist (both of them are very commitment with their job). This is a trip that all people who love whales need to do. Hope we can come back in the future.

They were very determined to find whales for us. They received reports of whales way South of us and took us to them. Our tour guide was Davina Liberty and she was exceptional. She shared with us a lot of history of the island as we were traveling to find whales. She is very knowledgeable about marine life and we found her very engaging. Thanks for a good trip.
