This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.
Check in begins 30 minutes prior to departure.

Our captain Andrew was awesome and did a great job!! Highly recommended! Ours was a smaller group and he was very informative!

While visiting the Northwest, we were not going to miss out on the fantastic whale watching opportunities in Puget Sound. We got a great deal to use Outer Island Excursions and had a fantastic day. First off, Captain Jim, Alex, and Beth were fantastic hosts and crew members for the journey. Their unending stream of knowledge of the animals we were seeing, the health of the environment, and true love of what they were doing was infectious. As for the animals, my goal and hope was to see Orcas in the wild. We got to see them! We followed a pod of 6-8 of them for almost an hour. The biggest of the group was a huge 20-24 foot male that was around 10,000 pounds. We were fortunate enough also to see a humpback whale, a gray whale, and the biggest stellar sea lion I have ever seen. In all, it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend both the crew and this company. I also wanted to pass a thank you along as well; personally, this really was a once in a lifetime moment for me that the crew, I can't say enough about.

Educational, friendly, entertaining, good facilities, and we saw lots of things besides just whales.
