There is no minimum age however all participants must know how to swim
It is recommended that you bring a swimsuit, towel, waterproof camera and wear clothes that can get wet and possibly dirty
To ensure a proper size kayak is available, please provide your individual heights and weights at the time of booking
There is no restroom at the meeting location. There is a public restroom at Valentine Park (1511 W French Ave, Orange City, FL 32763) about a mile before you arrive the meeting location that we recommend you use before your tour.

My son and I joined the Manatee Encounter, having not done much research ahead of time. We were disappointed to learn that we might not see any managers (which we didn't), but we did encounter other animals and birds. Our guide,Astrid, was very knowledgeable and helpful with us as novices on the river. All in all, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the Manatee Encounter.

Astrid was amazing, friendly, and informative. Her passion for the waterways and the animals kept you wanting to follow her and her patients with inexperienced paddlers made the challenging trip feel more comfortable. The booking process was crazy easy and the price was great for a weekend adventure in Florida. I would recommend bringing lots of water, a hat, and extra sunscreen as sitting on the water was incredibly hot. We will definitely be back!!!

Astrid was an amazing tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond taking us into the springs when we had some extra time. We saw so many alligators, birds, and were even lucky enough to see a manatee in the offseason!
