We visited the Orlando area in April 2015. Wanting to avoid crowds, we decided to check out the Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park. We showed up first thing in the morning because we weren't sure if reservations were necessary. It's only been open a few months, so reservations weren't necessary. But, I think that will change. We had a fantastic time. We took advantage of the pay for water (which we needed after the first challenge), and we purchased the gloves. I would recommend both. You can bring your own gloves, but if you don't have a spectator in your group, I would purchase their water. The instructions on how to do the obstacle was very clear. And we appreciated being able to practice. All the workers were friendly and helpful. The clips were a little stubborn - the mechanics of it were a bit tricky. My sons didn't have any problems. My hands did get sore. Each obstacle course was more challenging than the one before. My husband and my sons (ages 16 and 12) thought it was just an awesome thing to do. For me, it was a physical challenge. As a runner, I am fit, but lacking in upper body strength. I had to bail in the first part of the 3rd challenge, partially due to a fear of heights - but, I was tired. I would do it again, but take a break between challenge 2 and challenge 3. I would include a snack during the break. Running long distances has taught me that re-fueling is essential to go the distance. But, this was my first obstacle course challenge so I wasn't prepared. There isn't a time limit, so it would be okay to take a break. When we finished, we enjoyed the big zipline. My younger son also chose to do the kids' course. Altogether, we were there 3.5 hours. I'm happy to report, I wasn't sore the next day as I had feared. I thought the price was reasonable.
