Our cage-free experience allows you to SAFELY swim with sharks in their natural environment. You will walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for these beautiful creatures. Photos and Videos are included for free on every tour! We are a Native Hawaiian family owned and operated company rooted in Haleiwa, Hawai'i on the North Shore of O'ahu.

A safety diver will escort you into the water where you will be able to safely watch as well as swim with the sharks, and other pelagic creatures. While swimming in the open ocean with sharks and other pelagic creatures, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the ocean and its inhabitants - disposing of the irrational fears and misconceptions of sharks and other ocean creatures.

This is a "cage-free" experience where we will be free swimming with sharks for about 30 minutes. No heavy equipment is used. Just us with snorkel gear - so we keep the experience as natural as possible.

  • Get a good night's rest before your adventure!
  • We kindly ask you leave behind any preconceived notions about sharks and experience this adventure with an open mind
  • Always be attentive and present in the water, keeping your ears above water and paying close attention to the Safety Diver's instructions
  • If you are prone to seasickness, please take Dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour
  • A minimum of 3 people per trip is required for any trip. If you are booking as a single passenger, we will contact you if the minimum trip requirements are not met.

The water was crystal clear, Blue as I have ever seen an ocean. Water calm as an aquarium. The guides were phenomenal! Calm, reassuring, educated and helped ease anybody who may have had some extra nerves. We saw spinner dolphins on our way to see the sharks. The sharks were there! Came within about 5 to 6 feet and just kept swimming. Never felt threatened or scared.

As the original shark dive company in Hawaii, Island View Hawaii's reputation was a major draw for me, and they did not disappoint. The inclusion of photos and videos in the package was a game-changer. These allowed me to focus on the moment rather than worrying about getting 'the shot'. The visual memories they provide are a constant source of awe and excitement every time I look at them. The crew's professionalism was evident. Their briefings were thorough, ensuring that we all understood the importance of respecting these majestic animals and the environment. The personalized and intimate experience felt like a private adventure with friends, rather than a crowded, impersonal tour. The shark dive itself was nothing short of spectacular. Being in the water with these incredible sharks was an exhilarating experience that I will never forget. The crew's expertise ensured that I felt safe and comfortable throughout, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the moment. This experience with Island View Hawaii was beyond impressive. The service, camaraderie, commitment to safety, and the sheer thrill of the experience were unparalleled. It's not just a shark dive; it's an adventure of a lifetime. I would 100% recommend Island View Hawaii to anyone looking for an unforgettable shark diving experience in Oahu.

We loved our experience swimming with sharks with IslandView! The crew is a group of laid back, local boys. They’re such a good vibe and they’re the only local-owned shark swimming outfit 💙 They even include pictures and videos for free 🤯🤯🤯 We ended up on their smaller boat since their main boat was being serviced, and it was still amazing. A few tips: -The sea on the North Shore is almost always a bit rough. We had 4-6 foot swells, and that’s considered very normal. -be sure to take Dramamine or something similar if you’re prone to motion sickness. -I urge you to make sure you’re comfortable swimming with a snorkel, even better if you can get some practice in beforehand. -DO NOT use the elective floaties. If you’re a semi-decent swimmer you’ll be more than fine without them, AND USING THE FLOATY MAKES MOTION SICKNESS WORSE. -the open water and sharks aren’t scary in the least. Your heart will be pounding before you get in the water, but you’ll quickly realize that it’s a very serene experience. I made the mistake of using a floaty just to be safe, and I really wish I hadn’t. The sea is so salty that you float very easily, even on rough seas. Both me and my sister got sick, but we’re still so happy that we had the experience! Feel free to ask me any questions!
