Whale season is never over for Captain Zodiac. Join us for a unique experience of a lifetime where we venture into the unknown! Enjoy a morning wildlife watching tour with our experienced Naturalist captains and crew, who share a passion & respect for the ocean and its inhabitants. Kona is one of the few unique coastlines in the world with numerous species of wildlife year-round. We have the opportunity to encounter 17 different resident whale & dolphin species, turtles, sharks, Hawaiian Monk seals, various species of birds and much more. Experience our military grade Zodiac Hurricanes – the same boats used by Navy seals as we explore the diverse habitat provided by Hawaii’s deep underwater geography, an ocean safari for the true adventure seeker!

Great day being out 8-9 miles offshore n seeing the Island. We saw whales n spinner dolphins n monk seals from afar. Simple n free n our craft had only 11 + 2 crew members. Trips are always different n our day of seeing wildlife was good as it was calm m less likely to see a bunch of whales. Non business boats were often not heeding the laws of distancing from the wildlife.

Captain Maria was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to answer any and all questions the group had! With her expertise, we were able to see humpback and pilot whales, spinner and spotted dolphins, a oceanic white tip and a whale shark. Absolutely incredible time and highly recommend!

I've been on the water with companies all over the world and have worked in the dive industry myself. This is hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had with any operator. Yes we saw absurdly cool animals, but I was even more intrigued by the integrity and kuleana that Deron and Colin show to the ocean and all the creatures within it. In addition, I'm not sure I have ever seen anyone put customers over dollars the way they do. Safety, knowledge, responsibility, extraordinary...the pilot whales, oceanic white tips, dolphins and hammerheads were just frosting. If you want a seriously rare experience and value the things I've mentioned then this outfit is for you.
