Thoughtful Chef Tours is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) to operate in the Pike Place market Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting paid tours within its properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.

Chef Carolyn was a fantastic guide and host! Her curation of tastings was excellent and her stories were terrific. It made my first visit to the market a wonderful experience.

Carolyn’s seafood tour was an absolute blast! The food was delicious and it was a great way to get the behind-the-scenes look of the market. The best part of the tour, though, was Carolyn herself—knowledgeable, hilarious, and an all around great time. I can’t recommend her enough!!
