Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

10/10 would recommend this! I have always been interested to learn surfing and finally signed up for a lesson with Sandbar surf school with my friend. And it was blast! Jonny was a great instructor, he was funny, patient and very approachable. He made everything really easy to get and it was obvious that he's passionate about surfing. I had a lot of fun :)

I had zero surfing experience and by the end of the lesson was standing up and catching waves all on my own. Jonny was a great teacher with awesome tips, someone who obviously loves what they do and cares about the people they teach.

My 17 YO son and I made a much anticipated trip to the central coast from NC. Jonny and Jessica helped make it complete with a great day of surfing. The air and water was COLD but with the wetsuits Jonny provided and Jessica's constant encouragement we quickly forgot about our numb digits and rode wave after wave. The highlight of our trip for sure!
