Run, do not walk, away from Carmel Car. Read the reviews and trust that this is a garbage and untrustworthy company. After reading reviews I was getting very nervous about using Carmel, but I was able to get in touch and have our ride 'confirmed' a few days before the trip. Upon arrival to EGE/Vail we spent about an hour just attempting to get in touch with someone from Carmel. After being placed on hold and hung up on 4 times we finally got through to dispatch to be told they did not have a car for us. Carmel apparently does not own the cars, they just take your money and attempt to find a driver or company in the area to contract out the ride. Apparently all the drivers wanted too much money so they could not get us a car. I am not sure how a company can operate this way. The worst thing is that they knew they did not have a car for us, but for some reason did not reach out ahead of time so we could at least make alternative arrangements. In addition I am getting the runaround getting my money back because it was booked through Viator. What a massive mistake. If a company last minute cancels on you they should be going out of their way to get your money back. TLDR: Arrived to airport, no car available, had to overpay for last minute transport, having trouble getting refund. BAD COMPANY.

Despite our having a paid and confirmed reservation, the transfer company canceled within hours of the pickup time and provided no alternative. When we called their contact number, they said,"We canceled it," and hung up.
