Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio is just one of the 25 houses on the tour. Upon booking the trip, we will send you the full itinerary and you can take just a drive by tour or have the driver stop at various houses along the way, walk around and take pictures. Allow at least one hour of travel time to and from Oak Park area, travel time that will be added to the total number of hours used. Travel times may vary due to traffic. If you go over the 3 hours, we charge in 30 minutes increments @ 75 per half hour.

I love Wright's architecture. Early Prarie Style and Craftsman. His life story as explained by our guide Jerry was very sordid. Multiple marriages and relationships while leaving wife and children alone with no financial support while he was earning large commissions on his architectural work. I loved the Lincoln logs his kids played with. Wright was great at educational learning. One of his 5 children became an architect. Wright's designs were fresh and innovative. Problem was he was always over budget and his buildings always leaked. Yet he was also always in demand.

Your was about 1.5 hours and only involved pointing out the FLW houses. No knowledge of architecture or history.

Our driver was courteous and very pleasant. What we didn’t realize was this wasn’t a tour at all just a person driving us to and from our Chicago hotel to a few of the FLW house sites in Oak Park. There was not a private tour of his house and studio which we expected. Felt mislead.
