  • Comme mentionné précédemment, ceci est réservé aux petits groupes. Nous voyagerons dans une mini-fourgonnette Chrysler Town and Country très propre et bien entretenue. Nous nettoyons et désinfectons quotidiennement. Cependant, sachez qu'il s'agit d'un espace assez fermé et nous vous demandons donc de faire preuve d'une courtoisie et d'une gentillesse exceptionnelles.

Vineyard Haven
We drive past the Steamship Authority Wharf and then along Vineyard Havens' Historic Main Street which winds down towards West Chop and the outer Harbor.

West Chop Lighthouse
Enjoy the charming architecture of this historical lighthouse as well as the beautiful bluff of West Chop. We pause here briefly to learn about lighthouses and then continue our drive along this picturesque coastal area passing by the West Chop Club and scenic overlook of the Elizabeth Islands. We stop at this overlook for photos!

Menemsha
Walk around this historical harbor while enjoying a lobster roll or cup of New England clam chowder…yummy! This area is also home to many famous scenes from the original 1975 film "Jaws", a summertime Island favorite. See which ones you can remember as you take in this unique gem of a fishing village. Also a very famous sunset destination boasting the best sunsets on the Vineyard.

Aquinnah Cliffs
Walk around the picturesque cliffs that overlook Nomans' and the Elizabeth Islands. Takes pictures of the sound as well as the painted clay cliffs that make this area such a sought after destination. Enjoy some local seafood or burgers while supporting the local Wampanoag population. Ice cream is also available seasonally. Take pictures of the Aquinnah Lighthouse and learn how it was moved, to preserve it from erosion.

Edgartown
We drive along the timeless Main Street area where the Old Whaling Church can be seen as well as the harbor and many of the charming shops and cottages that are so unique to the Edgartown look. We drive to the Edgartown light house and stop in front of the Harbor View Hotel where we will find sweeping views of the outer harbor and discuss the history of the lighthouse.

Joseph Sylvia State Beach
Take in views of the ocean as well as Sengekontacket Pond as we drive past Jaws Bridge.

Oak Bluffs
Here we will focus on the Gingerbread Cottages of the Old Methodist Campground. We stop for pictures as we drive through this uniquely, well preserved area. From here we drive along Oak Bluffs harbor and then East Chop bluff which eventually leads back to Vineyard Haven as we drop off at the Steamship Authority Terminal for the conclusion of our tour.

Promenez-vous dans ce port historique tout en dégustant un lobster roll ou une tasse de chaudrée de palourdes de la Nouvelle-Angleterre… délicieux ! Cette zone abrite également de nombreuses scènes célèbres du film original de 1975 "Jaws", un favori de l'île en été. Voyez ceux dont vous vous souviendrez en visitant ce joyau unique d'un village de pêcheurs. Aussi une destination coucher de soleil très célèbre offrant les meilleurs couchers de soleil sur le vignoble.

Falaises d'Aquinnah
Promenez-vous autour des falaises pittoresques qui surplombent les îles Nomans et Elizabeth. Prend des photos du son ainsi que des falaises d'argile peintes qui font de cette région une destination si recherchée. Dégustez des fruits de mer ou des hamburgers locaux tout en soutenant la population locale de Wampanoag. La crème glacée est également disponible en saison. Prenez des photos du phare d'Aquinnah et découvrez comment il a été déplacé pour le préserver de l'érosion.

Edgartown
Nous roulons le long de la rue principale intemporelle où l'on peut voir l'église Old Whaling ainsi que le port et de nombreux charmants magasins et cottages qui sont si uniques au look d'Edgartown. Nous nous dirigerons vers le phare d'Edgartown et nous nous arrêterons devant le Harbour View Hotel où nous découvrirons une vue imprenable sur l'avant-port et discuterons de l'histoire du phare.

Admirez la vue sur l'océan ainsi que sur l'étang Sengekontacket en passant devant le pont Jaws.

Ici, nous nous concentrerons sur les Gingerbread Cottages du Old Methodist Campground. Nous nous arrêtons pour prendre des photos pendant que nous traversons cette région unique et bien préservée. De là, nous longeons le port d'Oak Bluffs, puis East Chop bluff, qui nous ramène finalement à Vineyard Haven alors que nous nous déposons au Steamship Authority Terminal pour la conclusion de notre visite.
