Great experience with short hike, Banana and coconut bread and fresh pineapple along the way. The top of the volcano is breathtaking, literally. Beautiful views and plant life.

What to say about this experience when I don’t feel words are sufficient! Let me start by saying how incredible Joe was as our tour guide. My husband was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Joe was very accommodating and kind while still making the tour a lot of fun. Joe has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the volcano and Maui overall. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend. The views at the top of the summit were awe-inspiring. We enjoyed the stops along the way and all the information that Joe provided as well. An added bonus was the banana bread and the Maui Gold pineapple provided to us as we made our way up the volcano. Jasmine was very helpful in coordinating the trip in assuring we were able to find the pick up spot as well as other support. This is a trip not to be missed with a tour company and tour guide that provides exceptional service.

Traveling with our kids and grandkids. Joe contacted us the night before to confirm the pick up time and place, which was right next to the cruise ship. He had obviously done a lot of homework, as he was able to answer of many questions skillfully. We enjoyed the short hike about half way to the top of Haleakala, learning about the land, the trees and the beautiful birds. The views of the Maui valley were incredible. The Hawaiian snack was delicious. As we had been warned, it was windy and chilly at the summit, so be prepared. The crater looks like something from Mars. While on top we experienced how quickly the weather can change here, going from clear to immersed in clouds in a very short time. On the way down we enjoyed hearing about Joe’s experiences as he transitioned from being a mainlander to a Hawaiian resident. We had a terrific time and learned a lot. I can recommend this tour and this company. (Keep in mind that not all tour companies have the permit needed to go into the national park.)
