Melissa our guide was very knowledgeable, and a great communicator - and a delightful person. The stops were excellent- especially the iolani palace (a must see!) and the bishop museum. This is Hawaii beyond the beaches and so fascinating.

This was exactly what a private tour should be! Our plane was late landing, and Eva easily accommodated later pick up than originally set. She then gave us the option of how to spend our limited time with her and recommended things that we could do on our own later in order to maximize our time with her. This allowed us to spend an entire afternoon at the bishop museum with her as our private instructor. On the way to and from the museum she kept up a continuous commentary/explanation of Hawaiian history, practices and culture. She easily answered all questions and volunteered much information that I would never have thought to ask. When the museum closed, rather than merely dropping us off, she took us to the Iolani palace, supreme court building, and mission houses in order to show where we should go the following day on our own, and how to maximize our experiences there without her. On a scale of 10, Eva was a 12!
