Fish and explore the beaches of beautiful Nantucket Island with your native guide, Steve Tuna. Fish hard or simply explore and enjoy the beach. Steve knows the backroads of his island and will customize your beach adventure based upon wind, tide, beach conditions and your desires.

Each area of the Nantucket beach has a different and distinct personality. The south side of the island has the surf. The north side is more protected and much calmer. Great Point, the 7 mile long beach peninsula on the eastern shore, offers the greatest variety - an amazing combination of wildlife, pristine environment and great fishing!

Steve is dedicated to helping his guests discover the joys of Nantucket that are hidden away from the vast majority of island visitors. Beginning fishermen are welcomed! Steve will teach his guests how to cast their lures and other necessary techniques. Be prepared to make memories and, perhaps, catch a few fish!

Having grown up on Nantucket it has always been on my bucket list to learn to surf cast….the right way! I went out with my husband and son and Steve. It couldn’t have been a better day! He showed us how it’s really done. He took us to great spots, explained what to look for when watching for the fish feeding, showed us the nuances of casting and patiently untangled my lines as I seemed to cross everyone that was on either side of me. I was a pro by the end. He is easy going, a gifted storyteller, a fish whisper (lol) and just a lot of fun to spend the day with. The true highlight of the summer and maybe the whole year actually!! We will definitely do it again.

Great day fishing with Steve! I’ve gone out with three different guides on Nantucket over the years. Fishing with Steve was the best by far. I highly recommend going with him. He is a knowledgeable but also very fun and easy going. From my 8yr old daughter: “It was so fun. I got to catch fish off the beach and my dad FINALLY caught one!”

Steve met us near the gate house and took us out to Great Point for an epic fishing tour. He showed us his favorite spots and we settled on two. We started casting on the west side before relocating to the opposite shore. As someone new to fishing, I felt like a pro by the end! He was patient, helpful, lighthearted, and fun with a whole bunch of knowledge. I can’t wait to go again! Thanks so much, Steve “Tuna” Tornovish 🐟
