I HAVE GIVEN THIS ONE STAR BECAUSE THE FIELD IS REQUIRED. IN THIS CASE READ ZERO (0) WORSE THAN TERRIBLE!!!!!! We booked a minibus with Burton Transit for a round trip from the airport to our hotel in the French Quarter. Our flight arrived and having looked at the queue at border control it was clear that we would take a while getting through. So we phoned Burton Transit on the number supplied on the booking confirmation to inform them that we had arrived but would be another 20 to 25 minutes before getting through to meet them at the designated pick up point. (The small print shows that we would be shown as"no shows if we didn't contact the company within an hour of the flight arrival time.) We got through and went to meet the minibus. After 5 minutes we met our driver, Joe, who loaded our bags ontpo the minibus. He then informed us that we would not be leaving until the arrival of two other passengers who had not yet even landed!. We were perplexed by this as we had paid over £200 for a private transfer. What we were now being offered was a shuttle service for which a party of six (as we were) would pay less than half that amount. We asked Joe to phone his manager, whose name was Nicole. This he did and handed the phone over. It was clear from the start that Nicole was a rude and obnoxious person who had already made her mind up that we would be offered no more than a shuttle service. She said that we were late arriving. We pointed out that we had phoned the office and advised and that we were actually no more than 10 minutes beyond the hour and that we had no control over how long it takes to get through border control. She was totally dismissive and said she was doing us a favour by agreeing to take us at all. Absolutely no interest in customer service. We also pointed out that the transfer time to the hotel was 20 minutes and Joe could take us and be back in time to pick up the other two passengers. She was not interested. When we asked Joe why he was waiting for other passengers he told us that they were two drivers short, hence having two different parties on the same vehicle. We then asked Joe to take our bags off the minibus, which he did. He was a very courteous man and very apologetic. The situation was out of his control. We then walked over to the other side of the terminal, ordered an Uber Max which took two minutes to arrive, that took us to our hotel and cost less than half what we had paid for the pre-booked transfer. We used Uber again for the return trip which cost even less. Will use Uber from now on. It's hassle free and costs much less. BURTON TRANSIT should be ashamed of their appalling service, but if Nicole is typical of their management I doubt if they are. Praise however should be given to Tripadvisor and Viator. We contacted them, explained the situation and the entire cost of the hire was back in my bank account within 2 days.

Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. We have a strong policy on arrivals that is stated on the voucher you received. International flights are given a one hour wait period from the time your flight arrives. The driver waited two hours for you and your group.Everyone who was on that plane came out of customs within an hour and had left already. Due to COVID-19 we were short drivers. The driver waited over the time allowed. The refund was not issued from TripAdvisor it was issued by me once I found out the transfer did not take place. What we expected was a driver and vehicle to pick up my wife, myself, and 2 family members (key word private transportation). What we received was sharing a ride with another family to New Orleans. Driver handled himself in a professional manner, but appeared to be unaware that we reserved private transportation from airport to New Orleans. In New Orleans for a celebration, not the way we wanted to start this special occasion.

Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. When your reservation was sent over from our third party it was sent as a SHARED RESERVATION. Sorry your special occasion got off to bad start we have refunded your entire trip and have made sure your return trip will be PRIVATE.
