My husband and I went on a fantastic fishing experience with "Alaska King Charter" with owner/captain William Baghoomian when we were at Ketchikan, Alaska. We booked at the last minute and met with William near the dock. William had said that the Salmon fishing hadn't been great but we'd give it a go. At first my husband and I were a little concerned but that soon changed. We tried one spot with no luck and then moved on. While getting to the second spot we surprised by a visit from a Humpback whale. During the boat ride and fishing there was plenty to talk about. The second spot was a hit. I caught the first Coho Salmon ( the biggest), my husband then brought up a king salmon ( which was thrown back in as it was small). A few minutes later the fish line whirred and my husband had another fish on line then my rod bent so now we have two fish. I brought up a rock fish and my husband brought up a beautiful Coho ( not as big as mine though lol). We discussed the possibility of having them shipped back home to Canada but with customs they may have gone bad before we received them. William responded that he would fillet them and throw a couple on the grill and bring them to our hotel. Well William more than delivered grilled Salmon. He brought us a whole meal of potatoes, carrots, parsnips all wrapped in tinfoil and still hot. What a host. William was friendly, professional, ethical with his catches, very informed about the area and wild life. I would highly recommend his fishing charter for anyone and everyone. Thank you William for creating a fantastic adventure and memory.

WELL TO START WITH WILLIAM SAID THERE MAY NOT BE GOOD FISHING......Raised a few eyebrows.....never mind . Very good service met us at the time we had arranged( last minute booking on out part) took us on a good ride very personable had some great discussions. William took us to an area that had good fishing in the past. On the way out we saw some whales that were very close to the boat. It took a little bit of time to find a good spot, as William was not be shut out. He did find an area that showed some signs of fish, so out went the line and hooks. It took a few trys with trolling, but in an area that was not having good luck we did very well. Caught two very good coho Salmon, a rock fish, and a small king salmon( which was released) long story short the most impressive part was when we were done. We were trying to figure out how to get these fish back to Canada in a timely fashion as with Canadian Customs they could be kept so long that they would thaw and not be consumable. In the end William offered to cook our fish and deliver it to us at our hotel. WOW he fufilled his offer and more. Not only did he fire up his bar-b-q and grill our fish he went all out with potatos, carrots, and parsnips. All delivered in tinfoil so that it was still hot when we enjoyed it in our room. Totaly recommend William at "Alaska King Charter". Sorry William now everyone will want a home made meal experience delivered to them. Thank you again for making a life time memory for us Kevin and Lorelei Bowie

My husband and I went to Ketchikan and deep sea fishing was one of the main things we wanted to do while we were there. It had been on our bucket list for some time and the fresh fish in Alaska are unbeatable. We were lucky enough to find William who was fantastic. Not only did he seem to know exactly where the fish were hiding, he made us feel like part of the family. We had an absolutely wonderful time with him and caught tons of huge fish! I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to go have a great experience on the water :) We would absolutely love to go back and I know that when we do, he will be one of the first people we call.
