My friend and I took the tour to the vortex Boynton Canyon and Rachel's Knoll yesterday. Our guide and driver was Tim who was excellent. He was knowledgeable and friendly and even played the flute for us. He stopped often to let us take pictures of The Gorgeous scenery and we would highly recommend this tour to others. Tim deserves 10 stars or more.

My coworker and I purchased the "original sedona vortex tour" over the MLK Holiday weekend. When we arrived to check in, there were no signs pointing to the check in. We luckily saw the jeeps located out back, and asked a couple who were waiting where check in was located and they directed us in the right location. When we arrived at the check in kiosk, Michael (I believe that is correct), was at the kiosk. He had one person in front of us, and had a very hurried and stressed demeanor. We went to check in, and he began by telling us that it was on paved roads, not off road, which we stated was fine. He also told us that the tour guide was running late, and it would be about 20 minutes past our start time. It was 30 minutes later when our tour guide arrived. There was also a trolley boarding at the same time, and it was mass chaos on where to go and who to follow. The Tour guide we were given was "Doc". He didn't seem too personable from the start, or even excited to be touring. We had one other couple on the tour with us. Doc did not have a microphone, so it was very difficult to hear what he was saying, although he talked alot about non-relevant information at the beginning of the tour (rock bands etc), with the other couple. He drove past one vortex site quickly, and then past an airport, and made jokes about owning planes there. He then took us to a park which was also a vortex site. He made a point to state several times that he was paying his own money for entrance fees because it was so special, which we both felt was tacky. We ran into another individual who he stated was an owner's wife, and she even commented that they have passes for the park there, so it seemed as though he was trying to get a larger tip. While the park area was beautiful, i feel that we spent too much time there. Doc did make an effort throughout the tour to take time to speak to each one of the tour attendees, which was nice, and you could tell he did truly care if you were having a good time. We went to one other vortex site, which was Rachel's Knoll. It was changed at the last moment due to the physical needs of one of the attendees, which was very nice of everyone to accommodate her. If all of the tour had been similar to the Rachel's Knoll stop, I would have been highly impressed. We were given time to meditate and just reflect, and walk around. Doc shared some of his knowledge about vortexes and how they affect vegetation. However, then he stated our time was coming to an end and we needed to get back. I looked at the time, and our tour time was not even close to the two hours we were slated - due to the face that we had left thirty minutes late. This was disappointing that they cut our time short due to their scheduling. Overall, we were disappointed in the tour. We had chosen this particular company over "Pink Jeep" because they seemed more personable and a smaller tour. It was indeed smaller, and maybe we just had a tour on an "off" session, but everything about it seemed rushed.

Doc (Aka Doc Holiday) was an amazing tour guide and knew how to answer any question thrown at him. He was full of knowledge and made the Jeep tour well worth it. The tour was beyond fun and we saw sites that would’ve never been seen unless we signed up for the Jeep tours through Earth Wisdom! I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who wants an adventure of Sedona. My wife and I were very pleased with the tour and for anyone that may consider the tour, ask for Doc!
