I had Leo for a private session and he was awesome! 5 stars!! He was patient for me and my level and was able to teach me the dos and don'ts to make a immediate progress.

Went to Hawaii with 3 yr old and wife. Managed to get away for few hours and go for a solo lesson with Pete. He was brilliant. Never surfed before. He taught be the basics on the beech and was in the water in no time. After 3rd attempt and some adjustment was already standing up and rocketing into the shore. Helped toe back out when got a little tired allowing me to catch as many waves as possible. In total got around 10 waves all way in. Saw multiple sea turtles popping up as well which made the experience even more special. Brilliant surf school. Friendly, helpful, chilled out. Had lockers for personal belongings and rash vests to rent. Much better than the beach front lessons on Waikiki. More personal and take you to a much quieter spot of Waikiki so don’t have to panic about bumping into other people. This was well worth the money and can’t wait to take my skills away to continue surfing the rest of Hawaii. Thanks Pete.

My instructor, Lee, at Big Wave Dave Surf & Coffee, made a surfer out of me at 58 yo! He was patient and encouraging, while giving instructions. I had a great time and can’t wait to surf again!
