Privately Guided Half Day Hike

Whether you want to see waterfalls, wildflowers, enjoy a quiet walk on a forested path, or climb a 6,000 foot peak, we will customize these trips based on your desired distance, difficulty, and destination. After booking, our office will contact you to discuss your preferences.

Hike will meet our office in downtown Asheville at 8:30am, and will last approximately 4-5 hours including transportation time. Snacks are included, but transportation is not. Transportation between Asheville and the trailhead (including hotel pickup) can be added for an additional fee. Your guide can provide trekking poles upon request at no additional charge.

We hike rain or shine! Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. We may cancel or reschedule your hike in the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions.

One of the best hikes ever. We spent 3 hours hiking to Triple Falls where Hynger Fanes had an iconic scene. Then high falls and finally Grassy Creek falls. Really enjoyable day with Bev who explained various flora and fauna. Would highly recommend.

Our family of four with 2 teenagers really enjoyed our hike on the Appalachian Trail and the fantastic views from Rich Mountain Fire Tower. Our guide Kacie was a lot of fun and full of knowledge about the area. I would definitely book a future tour with Blue Ridge Hiking Co.

We went on a half day, private, hiking tour with Blue Ridge Mountain Company. Adam was our tour guide and was excellent! He called us in advance to go over the different options for hikes and to learn about our preferences. On the day of the tour he was flexible to our choices and we decided on our hike destination just before leaving. On the hike, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, plant life, and history of the mountain and trail. He was also just a pleasure to be with… a fun personality. He helped make this day a highlight of our first trip to Asheville. We highly recommend Adam, as a tour guide, and the Blue Ridge Mountain company. We look forward to doing this with them again.
