Get on board with the professional guides to enjoy all the adventure of the class III ‘Shoshone Rapids,’ then slow it down and soak in the scenery of stunning Glenwood Springs Canyon as you play and paddle your way through class I-II whitewater. There are a lot of different rafting companies in Colorado. In the end, we decided to use Blue Sky because of good reviews and a deal for going late (3:15 departure). We definitely picked the right place to go. Nothing makes an experience better than going with people who truly enjoy their jobs. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Special shouts to Cat for leading the orientation and even more to Larry who was our guide. Larry had such positive energy and was so knowledgeable about the canyon and the town. He was even called back into work because of the size of our groups and he was still happy to be there. He was definitely our "Huckleberry". As far as the rapids, the first couple of miles were pretty intense but then it is a pretty relaxed trip the rest of the way. For an extra show, pay attention to how they reload the rafts. Blue Sky rafting was an awesome experience and one I would definitely do again.

Recommend this group 1000%! We took our 5 and 10 year old daughters for the 1/2 day rafting tour and had Tonto as our guide. It was my husband’s birthday so they were “extra” aware to make sure to splash him the most which my daughters LOVED. Tonto was the perfect guide, he is funny and knows a lot about the area but also was very respectful to our very “talkative” kids who may have interrupted him some. He was a great instructor and made sure we all knew how to help operate the raft when we needed to. It was just enough rapids to feel like we accomplished something without feeling like we were in danger. My 5 year old even said to me “wow that was so fun and that guy was so nice- he even splashed us!” We will definitely go back!
