Casey was the tour guide extraordinaire! He was SO knowledgeable of the landscape, the horses, BLM, and the flora and fauna in the area that my head was going to explode with everything I learned on our Wild Mustang Tour! He was an absolute pleasure and really answered all my teens (4 of them) questions. We were able to hike across the plains to view the horses (within 100 yards which he monitored closely) and we were able to visit a canyon area that had gorgeous sweeping views of the area. We were out there for a few hours but it felt like a few minutes. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to see nature IN nature. These horses are amazing. Our van contained only our family which was nice because we felt like we had his personalized attention the entire time. This is a MUST do adventure!

When a group of Mustangs was detected, the van stopped and we were handed a pair of binocular. But they were 3 miles away and no chance to see them and their activity clearly. We thought that we would get closer by trying to drive closer to the group. But no, we moved away searching for another group that we never found. We were told that this is not possible for a company to do off road when you have the right do so with your own car! So take your car instead of paying a company! You can see attached a picture of the Mustang group that we took with a camera (mximum zoom x30). So far that we could not even start observing them. Yes, Mustang are wild animals, but if the company is not authorized to drive closer to them to observe them why paying a company?

Hi Chris, I’m sorry that you didn’t get to see the horses up close. You have to stay a minimum of 3 football fields away from them. This is a Wildlife safari situation and the horses are not in pins.Wyoming has 2 million acres that are around the herd management area. But even though it is called the herd management area doesn’t mean that they are in pins. Its like any other wildlife tour.If anybody ever tells you that you are guaranteed to see wildlife,in a wildlife situtation, then they are lying to you.The horses are not made to stay in one place and can move up to 25 miles a day easily. And if you think you can go off roading out there then you would be given a fine.It is illegal for the companies as well as the general public. To stay on the designated two track roads for safety purposes.I could count atleast a houndred people that have gone out there and have gotten stuck in a was out area, got stuck in the clay, have gotten lost, etc. There are just simply not roads everywhere out in the wilderness and the animals try to stay away from people.Weve had 7 goals die this year due to human interaction.Even if you paid 30,000$ for an African safari it still doesn’t guarantee that you’ll se what your looking for.Ive know of people paying for a 3 week safari and never did see the animals or couldn’t get close enough. So like it says on our website we can never guarantee wildlife. It is like a wildhorse safari, and if you do get to see them up close we can’t guarantee what they’ll be doing.I had one person years ago leave a bad vomment Because they saw 80 horses, but they were just eating. And as I told them, until my name becomes Mother,Nature,or God Then we have no control over the actions of our wildlife. If we did then they’d be called zoos.So good luck in future travels. You pay a guide for the education, fuel, and the time to teach our guests about the area and keep them safe. You can not off road in the McCullough Peaks,it doesn’t matter who you are,you would be turned in and fined. We strive to protect the animal and the ecosystem. There are lots of other animals in that area and crucial sage grouse breeding areas. If you go where you’re not supposed to then you could disrupt the importance of of breeding grounds and disrupt our ecosystem.I do hope that this helps you as well as others about why it is so important to follow guidelines when it comes to being in the wildlife and delicate ecosystems, Thank you again for your time, please think about your actions and read the regulations before you just go out and do something careless in nature, Thank you, Sunny

The area out there is beautiful. Though we didn’t get to see any of the herds up close it was still great to see the sanctuary and our tour guides was very sweet and knowledgeable.

Hi Roxanne, Thank you for taking the time to write in with a review. It isn’t always easy getting to see the wildlife.Thank you for being understanding. The horses are not in pens and they have thousands upon thousands of acres to roam and some of the roads are not passable.Im glad that you had a good time.It is a great educational tour.I hope that the rest of your vacation went well and safe travels in the future.Sunny
