We rented stand up paddle boards for an afternoon trip between Big Bend & Salida. Dvorak was very communicative leading up to the trip, as we had never been to the area before, and easily accommodated our desire for an unguided trip. We picked up the boards from them, put in at Big Bend, and hauled out at Salida, where Dvorak had moved our car to. Had a quick beer & snack at High Side Bar & Grill, and then returned our SUPs. Only head's up we could have used: more information about the boat chute by the dam. Wasn't quite sure what it was & misjudged the rapid for a bit of a wipe out. I would have taken the short portage if done again. We were glad we brought a dry bag! Other than that, thank you Dvorak for a great experience!!

Sounds like you all did great and enjoyed the taste of Salida as well. We will try to make that boat chute info more clear. Best to follow the signage and always look downstream for what's ahead. Thanks for choosing DVK and we'll see you in 2022.

I've rented from Dvorjak several times and they are always helpful, friendly, and offer great gear for rentals. I'd recommend them to anyone!
