Our family met in Richmond for a destination Thanksgiving and the absolute highlight of the four days was spending TG morning with Jeff, walking around downtown Richmond learning about the rich history and hearing anecdotal tidbits that brought history to life. He is a brilliant historian and gifted story teller, having many years of practice as a history teacher and professor. His depth of knowledge is astonishing and he captured and held our attention, answering our many questions. We have lived overseas and taken many tours around the world, but Jeff's was by far the most engaging and informative of the lot. We plan to return and sign up for another tour in the spring. Thank you, Jeff!

I was visiting Richmond for the first time and wanted to have a tour of downtown to learn an overview of the history and get the 'lay of the land'. Jeff was the guide and was very knowledgeable about the history, the buildings, and current issues. He was friendly and was able to answer all my questions. Loved seeing so many murals! I hope I can return sometime and would like to take another tour. It was well worth the price!

Jeff was our guide - and our tour was really outstanding. I enjoy walking tours generally - they are a great way to see a city - you see things you don't by car, and guides will often have insight you won't get from a book or signs. So comparing this to tours I've done in places like London, NYC, etc. - this was a top 5. A solid two hours, filled with history and also interesting quirks, Jeff kept us moving, but also knew when to take a pause. It was well-paced, well-planned and wonderful way to spend a brisk November morning. I would definitely recommend and absolutely the best-value for a walking tour I can remember in a long time!
