We took the full day tour to Hana with Matt and it was terrific! Jumping into water falls, visiting black and red sand beaches, discussing island history and modern influences, and keeping our two boys 11 and 10 interested and occupied - Matt accomplished it all. I watched as he navigated the entire road and stops and couldn’t imagine having visited Hana and other parts of Maui any other way. The attention to detail and ability to flexibly change stops and itinerary makes the tour a special experience! However, what really separates Awapuhi apart from others is the family feel and hospitality. When close to the completion of our tour - which would have been a tremendous experience in itself - we came back to the recent Maui fire in Kīhei, only to have Matt, Susan and their son Ben extend their graciousness and time while we waited out the evacuation and could return to our resort. Thanks to Matt, Susan and Ben, and see you again soon!

Aloha! That was certainly a exceptional day! Thank you for the kind words. Being able to adjust to the day no matter what conditions arise is what we are about. Come back soon! Mahalo

The tour was great, a private tour is the only way to go. Our guide Matt was great, he took us to places we would never have stopped at (because we would have driven by the area before we realized we should have stopped), he customized the tour to meet our needs, we stopped for banana bread at the request of one of our guests, visited a winery, stopped for coffee, etc. We even stopped in time for me to throw up from motion sickness (LOL). NOTE: If you are predisposed to motion sickness, sit in the front seat and take Dramamine before the trip !!! This is a great tour, it might be a little more expensive than the other "group" tours, but it is well worth the extra money for this personalized service. At the end of the day, we were so glad we booked the trip.

We had an awesome experience with Matt who was our tour guide, he went above and beyond, he really gave us VIP treatment. I did the tours with my husband and my sister. We did half day to Hana tour , Beach day tour and Hiking in the Volcano. He took pictures and videos of us without us noticing which we enjoyed very much. He is great and very experienced in what he does, We would contact this private tour again if we come back to Maui. Thanks very much for this unforgettable experience in Maui! Doris and Carlos
