Our guide, Ned was phenomenal! So knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. I have lived in Roanoke for over 40 years, and I still learned something and had some delectable treats I’ve never tasted before. It was such a wide variety of food and restaurants. From the hotel Roanoke to the Texas Tavern. I had out-of-town family visiting for just a couple of days and wasn’t sure how to entertain them. This was perfect! It gave them an overview of the city. I love, we got some walking in, I didn’t have to prepare lunch or dinner ( we were that full) and had great conversation with Ned and the other guest. This tour exceeded my expectations.

All food choices were of good size and portion, tastings were well organized and served. Flavors hit across the spectrum of flavor pallets…. From the Bisque to begin, to a caramel chocolate that melted beautifully…. This is a well-curated tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable of the history of Roanoke and exuded a genuine joy of the opportunity to share with us. When visiting a new area, or even looking for a first date experience, this is a great adventure in flavor, camaraderie, and history!! Our Thanks to Terrie!!!!!

My son and I had an amazing time on the Roanoke Food and History Tour! This was one of the adventure buck list scratch-off tickets from RIO. The tour guide was informative with lots of fun facts about Roanoke. The food was amazing esp with a visit to the iconic Texas Tavern. Highly recommend this tour, even if you're a resident to Roanoke!
