Hidden Valley is an old ski resort with no lifts now. So much fun. Bring your own tube, disc, or plastic sled (with no rails). Or you can rent in town, as none as available there. We brought tubes from home, with small air compressor that plugs into cigarette lighter in vehicle. There is a warming room in the building and heated restrooms. We went in February, and it wasn't bad at all, had snow boots, coats, thermals. gloves. Some wore ski pants also. You may want to bring a rope to pull the sleds if you happen to have small kids that can't quite make the hike up. There are 2 different hills. One side more for smaller kids, not as steep or as long as the other, but neither bad. Bring snacks or food/drinks. Lots of fun especially if you have kids. Keep an eye on the weather, it easily snows up there, so driving back could be snowy.
