  • Dress for the weather. We recommend swim suits, shorts or synthetic clothing. Avoid cotton.

We had so much fun, our teenagers wanted to go back and do it again immediately. Andrew was our guide and he only tipped us 5 times (just kidding, we stayed upright and in the raft). We all would HIGHLY recommend this outfit and plan to come back for a full day.

We weren’t sure about rafting during our quick July 4th weekend but had a chance encounter with a friend and booked the Royal Gorge half day with my 17 yo. Our guide, Bradley, was knowledgeable and kept our entire raft safe and in the boat through all the rapids including 5 Class IV rapids! I also liked that we could choose to use wet suits or not since it was a hot July day. The bus ride to put in was a short 5 minutes and the return bus ride was only 10 minutes. We had so much fun and would definitely come back to raft with this team. They also have a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat after your raft trip. Purchasing the rafting photos was also reasonable and easy. We look forward to trying the zip lines on our next visit and will definitely be joining for more whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River! Thanks to Royal Gorge Rafting and Bradley for a memorable trip!

Riley was amazing! He kept us safe and we had a blast with him! Josey was an amazing safety guide too! We loved our white water float and look forward to doing it again!
