I think this tour was fun, but the theatrics were a little excessive. The theatrics would probably go far to keep a younger person or young teenager interested in the story, but I found it to be just a little over the top. Our tour guide was very talented and sweet, just dramatic for my taste. However, if I had kids in my group this would be the ghost tour I picked. (We went on several during this trip).

We did the dinner and ghost tour - nice meal at the historic Menger Hotel. We then did a tour of the Menger, learning all about the various haunting in this historic hotel. We were even treated to a visit of the Captain King Suite, reportedly the most haunted room in the hotel - the occupants invited the tour in to see the room. (This is NOT part of the tour - we just were very lucky :). Our tour guide, Mark , was terrific. It's worth the $$ and a great night out in San Antonio!

We’ve never been on a ghost tour before but this haunted history tour was a fun mixture of San Antonio history and spooky stories. The tour company is housed in the back of the historic Menger Hotel where the tour begins, not far from the Alamo. We walked for about 90 minutes and stopped outside a number of buildings to hear their stories. Our guide, Jennifer, a local teacher, did a great job. Be aware though, that the tour ends at the last stop, not at the Menger Hotel. So if you are like us and are a little disoriented in a new city at night, you might want to tag along with your guide back to the hotel where the tour began.
