We went on a cloudy day in May. The trip was fine. Rough sea. Windy day. A lot got seasick around me. We saw a lot of birds and dolphins, which was the most exciting part of the trip. The whale? Not really. The whale was super far away; we caught a glimpse of it only once or twice. Because of the distance, all we could see was like a tiny dot. I understand all the difficulty and impossibility to come close to the whales, and I have high opinion of the staff's expertise and knowledge. All I'm saying is do not expect too much of the whale; it's very far away and hard to see; just prepare yourself about this before your trip.
I hope to get more out of the three-hour experience. You don't want to sit in the cold and face the wind on a rough sea for three hours, not seeing much. Yet the compensation for this is friendly and helpful staff.

We are sorry that you didn't get to see more whales as you had hoped for. Days like this do unfortunately happen, though it is not common and we always try to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. You can see some really incredible sightings out there so we invite you to join us again some time in hope of a better trip!
