Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

This was an awesome cruise. The crew was so knowledgeable and explained what to look for. To see the spouts of the blue whale in the distance was amazing! The wild life photographer got some awesome photos of the blue whale and a great video of the Pacific White-sided dolphins. We had started to believe that we weren’t going to see any whales, when one of the passengers spotted a spout. (Moral of the story, listen to the crew and look for spouts because the more eyes looking, your chances of seeing a whale are greater). The only disappointment was that when we spotted the whale, the captain headed that way, but because we were close to then end of the cruise, they said they would stay out watching for a while, but 1 family had a plane to catch, so we didn’t get to stay. I highly recommend this tour.

San Diego Whale Watchers was incredible! We saw tons of sea life Captain Mike and he crew gave us a very memorable experience they were the best !!!! We would highly recommend

Wonderful way to end our San Diego trip. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw hundreds of dolphins, a few seals and one whale. It was peaceful and beautiful out on the water.
