I would like to first state that this tour was bad. Just bad. It is absolutely not upscale whatsoever, it is definitely not family friendly or good for kids of any age, and it was not enjoyable as we hoped. The tour started on a low note seeing as our tour guide was late. We got into the bus and we were crammed full not a single seat left open as we picked up other people. Then we set off for the drive to Muir Woods. And when I say drive I’m being nice, because what we experienced was not a normal drive, we were definitely going over the speed limit as Kimmy our driver was blasting the gas pedal and zero shocks on the bud. Muir Woods was quite beautiful when we finally arrived after an extreme drive through twisty turning mountains, which scared us to death. It was slightly disappointing when we had to wait in a long line to pay for a ticket, when paying so much for a tour you would think things like this would be included. Then after that we were back on the bus. As we descended into Napa it began to get very hot, well extremely hot. And we realized quickly, this bud has no air conditioning, and it was about 95 degrees in Napa at the time. When we arrived to the first vineyard we were deeply disappointed. The man who met us on arrival immediately seemed annoyed to see there were kids with us, he constantly throughout our time told us to watch over our kids and not to let them touch the art. I’d like to say that all of our children are pretty well behaved and above the age of six. But he persisted in telling our kids not to touch the art. But the wine was good and we were actually immersed at vineyard which added to the ambience. Then we ventured back into the extremely hot bus. We went to Sonoma which was probably our best stop, but sadly we had barely enough time to enjoy our lunch and walk about the sweet little town that had much more to offer than we got to see. And when we arrived on the bus a couple of the other tour guests were about two minutes late and met at the bus with Kimmy yelling at them to hurry up. Which we found somewhat rude and hypocritical seeing as she was late in the first place. Our next stop was also disappointing seeing as the people at the winery basically forgot about us in their backyard, and we had to go inside to get anymore wine. This winery had no vineyard and we were basically just at someone’s house in their backyard. So we were back on the bus on our way to our last stop. We were subject to listening to an hour of how to make wine at home, I’m sorry but we would have rather just relaxed and not have to had listen to a long education about winemaking, it was only interesting the first five minutes. Then we got on the bus and headed back to San Francisco. I’d like to say overall that Kimmy our tour guide was obnoxious, bossy, and late. Every time we left the bus she told us don’t be late, and showed us a clock like we were in kindergarten. Our kids had absolutely nothing to do the entire time, not a single game, even in the backyard winery. We paid an a lot of money for what was billed an “upscale” wine tour, but ended up as a somewhat crappy tour. And the other tour guests agreed and were talking about it, some of the guests even confronted the guide about how ridiculous this was. Don’t make the same mistake we did, find another tour.

We are sorry to hear that the tour disappointed you. And even sorrier that you did not notice in the description that this tour is NOT designed or recommended for children. Many of the things you experienced are precisely why we make that advice. Our guest services department will bold that recommendation in our description for the future. Three other 5-star reviewers had a far more positive experience with Kimmy on your tour, nevertheless, please contact our team @ (415) 357-0700 about our Satisfaction Guarantee so we can make things right.
