Visite de dégustation à pied de San Francisco avec Secret Food Tours

Aperçu
On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

We took the Mission District Food Tour really not knowing what to expect. What we experienced was a high energy district with great food - and we learned so much about the area. Charlotte was amazing! Her warm personality and enthusiasm about the people and Mission district draw you into the community. Charlotte also sent us some awesome pictures from our tour along with the information about where we stopped so it made it easy for us to return to enjoy more of the food another time. A perfect balance of walking and food! A tour definitely worth taking!!

We have gotten into the habit of booking a food tour near the start of every vacation, and our Secret Food Tour of San Francisco's Mission District did not disappoint! From the very beginning, it felt just as if Charlotte was a good friend. Her passion for sharing the Mission District was obvious, and the food was superb. You need to make sure that you come hungry - we skipped breakfast for this very reason. We've taken this company's food tour in Paris (twice) and you will NOT go away hungry. We started with a scrumptious burrito, and followed that up with a secret dish (I'm not telling!). We then had potstickers that were crispy and delicious, a wonderful clam chowder and we enjoyed both a red wine and a white (both local to Sonoma). We finished up with salted caramel ice cream that was to die for, and a decadent cookie. I only ate half the ice cream because I simply couldn't hold another bite. Seeing as how salted caramel ice cream is one of my favorites, you KNOW I'm full if I don't finish it. They will do their best to accommodate you if you have food allergies or are vegetarian or vegan. Just ask. The meeting point was easy to find, but keep in mind that parking can be a challenge, so give yourself time. You will not end up at the same place you started, and there is a lot of walking involved, so if you have a hard time with that, bear it in mind. There are plenty of stops, though, so it wasn't tiring, but when we were done, we were ready for a nap! Charlotte gave us some great info about the area and was simply delightful to spend time with. We would absolutely do this tour again and will recommend it highly to our friends. Thanks for a great time, Charlotte! Tip: check Dealspotr.com for a discount code!

We joined Charlotte on a morning tour in September, on our honeymoon in California. It was a great way to spend 3 hours, exploring the Mission district and tasting some fab food and drink. Make sure you are hungry as the portions are big( no small tasters here!). Charlotte imparted her obvious enthusiasm for the food and the area, giving lots of information and clearly knowing the restaurant owners. There was a wide range of cuisines tasted and places you probably would not have gone into without an insiders knowledge. We also got to see some great murals and take lots of photos. Highly recommended.
