I was able to join the virtual New Year's Eve tour of Salem and really enjoyed the experience! Tom really knows his facts and history of not only the area, but many different religions and cultures that you didn't even know you wanted to learn about. The tour covered different parts of town such as ancient cemeteries, houses, shrines, and other sites, and Tom assaulted me with knowledge the entire time. It was also really nice to have a tour that went in depth about the history and people such as Nathaniel Hawthorne, who I had never heard of and now I want to learn more about, and Cotton Mather that son of a gun. I hope that in the coming years I'll be able to visit the area in person and join the tour again. Also, if you're lucky enough to run into Tom, be sure to ask him who his favorite Yule Lad is.
