The original HAUNTINGS tour of Savannah, Georgia. A 90 minute walking tour, departs 9pm nightly. BE PREPARED TO BE SCARED. Hear tales of encounters with the paranormal in one of the most haunted cities in America. Based on Margaret DeBolt's book 'Savannah Spectres', as well as 'Drums and Shadows', written in the 1930's by the Writer's Project of the WPA and 'Savannah Hauntings' by Robert Edgerly, owner and tourguide of Hauntings Tours. All tours daily, 7 days a week, no tours Christmas Day. Reservations not required. Private and group tours welcome. Pet friendly tours.

We went on this tour because we found a 2 for 1 groupon deal before our visit to Savannah. I was very excited for the tour since I have been to multiple ghost tours up and down the East Coast. I was a little underwhelmed with this tour because I thought the stories were going to be spookier. Our guide was super casual and had a great personality but lacked the creepy factor when tell ghost stories.

One of my tween daughters tends to be fascinated with paranormal things, so I knew we had to do this when visiting Savannah. Our guide (I wish I could remember his name) was amazing. I do remember him saying he helped build sets for a local theatre. He was excellent at combining history with haunting stories. We had a great time. I was able to get our tickets on groupon. We parked at Lincoln parking garage ($10 cash all day), and it was an easy walk to get to the meeting point. Although it says you will meet at the "corner of York and Bull Street" you will actually be meeting in the square--just watch out of a group gathering around 9pm. If you want some dinner close to there Zunzi's is right down the road.

We had a party of 17 to take the haunted tour and was very disappointed. . We had family members who had never been to Savannah so they were looking forward to the tour. The tour guide had only been a tour guide for three weeks. It did not keep our interest and she kept forgetting her spiel. She said she wasn't feeling good, then someone else should have taken her place or be a back up guide. If you do not get a good guide, you have just wasted your money which we did.
