As the Pigeon River comes out of the steeper parts of the gorge it calms down a bit. Beginning at our outpost, the Lower Section of the Pigeon River is perfect for those looking for a scenic float trip of the Smoky Mountains. Ages 3 and up. Experience is not required, and each raft will have one of our professional guides.

Public transportation options are available nearby
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age: 3 years old
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment,
Including a PFD (aka life jacket), helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.
All guest must have secured shoes on, NO FLIP FLOPS / NO BARE FEET

Our family of 5 took the scenic rafting option, as it was our first time rafting and we have 3 children (boy 11, girl 9, boy 6). We really lucked out having Jason as our guide! He guided us through some fun little rapid areas that were safe but felt super adventurous for the kids. He was so informative and just made it such a great experience for all of us. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Now our kids want to be white water rafters like Jason :) Thanks so much for the memories and our new found love of rafting!

First time experience and had the best guide, Darrell U. Definitely recommend. The water was not as cold as expected.

Steve was our guide! Excellent excellent experience! Loved every second of it! Our guide was super chill and knowledgeable and we had a blast! Definitely will refer it to all my friends and family!
