The driving guide was very accurate down to every crook and turn in the road! Only advice is to hit the road as early as possible and pack a lunch as street vendors/food stands were closed by 3pm!

My wife and I were looking to drive the Road to Hana in Maui, and wanted it to be more than simply a driving adventure, so we decided to give Shaka Guide a try. The cost was only $20 and we thought "What do we have to lose?" It turned out to be a great decision. The app was simple to download, and the audio program worked flawlessly even though we had no cell phone coverage most of the trip. Using GPS to track our location, each audio segment was perfectly timed, and the commentary was chocked full of historical anecdotes and stories, local legends, current social and economic events affecting the area, touring tips, restaurant suggestions, and suggested activities along the way. The narrator's tone was upbeat and fun, and along the way they mixed in a variety of music of all different styles that is tied to the culture of Hawaii. The entire program was fantastic. I'm never afraid to express my opinion, but there literally was not one way this program could have been improved. It was perfect in every way. We'll definitely be checking out their audio programs for future adventures.
