We had an absolutely amazing time. I have been terrified of sharks my whole life, but I didn't want to be. Erin genuinely cares about conservation and wildlife, so her knowledge of and passion for the sharks really puts your mind at ease before you go in. They take you out a few miles off the shore, which itself is basically worth the money since you're getting a boat ride with gorgeous views. Apparently sharks have been conditioned to associate the sounds of a boat motor with potential food, so they swim up basically right away once you stop.
Not gonna lie, it is frightening when you see an actual fin in the water from the boat. They give you a snorkel and teach you how to use it if you've never used one before. You get about 25 minutes in the cage while sharks circle around and below you. Beautiful and thrilling at the same time. I felt a connectedness with nature that I've rarely felt before.
Some advice: take Bonine the night before, but heads up that they aren't kidding about the drowsiness. It was genuinely hard to wake up. Also book early in the morning if possible. The water is calm and it isn't super hot yet. The adrenaline rush lasts a while so you're starting your day off in the most incredible way.
