  • Please NOTE ALL 8 a.m. tours depart from your dock. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of departure time. Don't forget your Passports! 1030 Discovery Tour - departs from Yukon Heath's Popcorn Emporium, located at 485 Broadway Avenue, Skagway, AK 99840 (see map below). Please plan to arrive at our office 30 minutes early.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Two different lunches are available, either Chicken or Vegetarian, your tour guide/professional driver will inquire of your choice before tour departs
  • US and Canadian Citizens: Must bring a government issued photo ID and proof of citizenship (US birth certificate or naturalization certificate) or a passport for re-entry to the United States. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate
  • Non-US Citizens: Either a Passport, I-94, Multiple Entry Visa or Resident Alien Card is required for re-entry to the United States
  • Operates in all weather conditions. Weather can vary greatly from one location to another, please dress in layers
  • Specific tour stops can be modified based on road conditions and weather.

We were originally scheduled to ride the train into the yukon but due to a rock slide that tour was canceled. At the last minute we found southeast tour that sort of followed the rail route. As it turned out, this was a blessing in disguise. We saw way more than we would have on the rail road. Our guide stopped when we saw bears, when we came to scenic sights, when we came to scenic border crossings, even we when we saw bears again! The smaller bus only had about 20 people so it was easy for us to get on and off at places the big buses can't so we could get great photo shots. The driver, Dori Madsen was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly, we really enjoyed this tour!

We booked our Yukon Discovery tour with Southeast Tours in Skagway, and it was delightful. We took a mini-bus with 12 other people. Our guide was Bryan Terrell – best in Alaska! The tour was six hours with many picture stops. The Highlight was a visit to the Dog Sled camp with Barbeque Chicken lunch. Truly wonderful (cinnamon sugar donuts were awesome) Bryan gave us some wonderful stories about how he got to Alaska and is very knowledgeable about the history and the whole territory. He does not drone on, instead giving us information that was enlightening, funny and interesting. I highly recommend this one.
