Attended with sons and found the museum very informative. Self paced exhibits and small gift shop area. Loved seeing the various typewriters used by famous people as well as actual typewriters that the young people can use. Very good exhibit of American authors. Will come back with other family members.

We thoroughly enjoyed this museum; if we lived in Chicago, we would have a membership for frequent return visits..There is so much information about writers, some with whom we were very familiar. and others to whom we were introduced.. The immigrant exhibit was excellent. so much interactive displays. A hidden gem in Chicago. Located in the Loop.
