We've created a fascinating kayak tour in St Pete, centered on our Crystal Clear kayaks, giving you a fascinating look at the sea life throughout Shell Key preserve, and Fort Desoto park. Our professional guides provide an interesting narration of the local wildlife and ecosystem. The tours can range from 2 persons to 16 people, and are approximately 2 to 2 -1/2 hours long. The tours will primarily operate in the protected waters and mangroves tunnels of the Shell Key Wildlife Preserve in Pinellas County. An 1,800 acre preserve, these waters are well traveled by Dolphins, Manatees, Rays, as well as a variety of shore birds, including pelicans, egrets, herons, cormorants, osprey, and sometimes roseate spoonbills.

Please note: This activity is NOT suitable for the Elderly or the Obese, or people with back surgeries/issues, or with a history of other physical ailments. You must be physically fit for participate in this activity.

Our guides were wonderful - very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We did have a bit of trouble with the paddles - seemed a bit short for the clear kayaks. Also wished we had seen some more wildlife - only one sighting of fish, and no dolphins, manatees or sharks. Certainly not something the tour guides can control! Mangrove tunnels were awesome. Sebastian was a HUGE help in getting our disorganized family reunion group scheduled! Very patient and pleasant. A great time together!

Gen thank you for the feedback. Yours is the first feedback on the paddles (they're 87in long) and we'll certainly look at the length again to make sure its a pleasant experience for everyone. We hope to see you again soon.

I booked this tour with my sister and 18-year-old niece for an afternoon and the ride was beautiful! We saw lots of wildlife including 3 dolphins. One dolphin swam up close to my kayak! Kristen was fun, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We've kayaked quite a bit in the past and I will say this is not a trip for beginners. Clear kayaks are more difficult to row than regular kayaks and this was a little more than we expected. It is a very nice tour, but be ready to row! This is the only reason I gave this a rating of 4.

Tricia we're glad you enjoyed the tour. I must say I'm disappointed that you decided to penalize us over the paddling effort. Even among traditional kayaks, different designs require different levels of effort. We offer Crystal Clear kayaks, and we do not make any claims regarding the level of paddling for our kayaks. And although they are not as fast as a traditional kayak, our Clear kayaks will not tip over, and they track much straighter than a traditional kayak. They are much easier to steer and enjoy for the novice kayaker. Perhaps next time you should just stick to traditional kayaks.

Justin was great!! We had a beautiful afternoon on the water. His enthusiasm for what he does is evident. He was so excited to find a starfish!! We really enjoyed the leisurely pace on the return trip. Allowed us so much time to look through the kayak and see the life underneath us. And we came within about 50 feet of a few dolphins!! Loved our trip. Thank you!!
