My friends and I had an amazing time with Brittany! Great walking tour with food, drinks, and history lesson to boot!
First off, do confirm your tour 24-48 hours in advance! I booked the tour through Trip Advisor and apparently there’s a second location Destination Kitchen has (I think it was in the Garden District?) if the French Quarter doesn’t have enough people 😦 so if I had to do this all over again I would book directly with the company. My friends and I really wanted the French Quarter tour so we had to reschedule for the next day. Not a big deal for us, but if you have a tight itinerary with reservations and tickets I would look into booking with DK directly.
Our tour guide Brittany was excellent! Every stop had a great story that tied into an overall narrative that really made you feel you were a part of it. Another great aspect is that Brittany was born and raised in NOLA, and knew all the people that worked in the restaurant. For me, every space felt warm and welcoming! She was also very informed of the town’s history, even when I asked a question about the architecture Brittany answered it and went beyond that and gave us cultural context.
And the food... the food was dynamite! We ended up going back for lunch to one of the restaurants she took us to.
Anyway, 5 stars, amazing! I would do it again!

Indeed....mdelarama, Brittany is excellent :-) Thank you so much for your kind words. We love what we do and our guides go the extra mile to share their knowledge, our unique culture, traditions, culinary or cocktail history, each with their individual flare. You're right, it's always good to confirm up to 48 hours in advance. We we love hearing from you. #SpecialGuests, #AuthenticTastings, #Traditional, and #NewOrleansCreoleandCajun . We like to call it....#CultureWithACulinaryTwist Thanks again and sincerely,
